Malta Ship Photos & Action Photos was founded on the 1st August 1990 by myself Capt. Lawrence Dalli and the late Peruvian Airforce helicopter pilot Piero JJ Guerra of which today  we are the Largest and Leading Photo Library on our Maltese Islands that provides all kind of photography concerning ships, aircraft, emergency vehicles & equipment, military warfare etc. In fact we have over 10 Million Photos in our archives. We are fully equipped with the latest equipment ranging from cameras to aircraft with a strong team of professional photographers of which our main activity is maritime photography especially AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY and we are proud to serve any Maritime Entities including Shipping, Government Departments & Airline Companies worldwide.

So you see we took small steps to success all along that hike. Together they added up to hundreds of thousands of small steps. But we might have chosen not to take the first step. We might have stopped at any point along the way. That would have meant that we would not have gotten to our destination.

9H-ADW Cessna U206B Super Skywagon with our logo on her tail….Unfortunately back in 2014 this aircraft was minor damaged in strong winds (whirlwind) while she was parked at Park 1, Malta International Airport.

At first myself I was involved in the offshore towage industry so the entity was like a part time and after few years I decided to take the step as full time where some of our greatest achievements were working with FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) and ICCAT (The International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas ) Inspectors responsible for the conservation of Blue Fin Tuna (BFT) vessels and cages.

Then back in 2011 when the Libyan Uprising came up on behalf of MSPAP I was the first Maltese Captain to deliver Humanitarian Aid to the Libyan people at Qasr Ahmed, Misurata Port as assigned by the previous Prime Minister of Malta Dr. Lawrence Gonzi and Ms. Vanessa Frazier of which she held the post of director of the Defence Matters Directorate within the Office of the Prime Minister consolidating Malta’s response to the Arab Spring and most particularly the crises in Libya.

During November 2012 I was diagnosed with Cancer of which another step had to be taken, there were obstacles along the way. But with each small step they were overcome.

There were frustrations, fears and uncertainties. But with each small step they were crushed.

There was hardship and danger, but with each small step and focus on the desired destination it was conquered.

Other great achievements were the official visit of the Duke of Cambridge Prince William of which during Independence Day he crossed the Grand Harbour and walked along the cruise liner QUEEN VICTORIA represented in Malta by Mifsud Brothers Ltd.

All events including AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY of  the 40th anniversary of DVAG, a German financial services company of which some 8,000 guests arrived in Malta on four Aida cruise liners to celebrate in what is the largest private function to ever be held here in Malta.

Apart from that we are flying 5-7 times a week on AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY Operations.

So you see,  success is no mystery. It takes only one small step to succeed.

Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don’t lose faith. I’m convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it.

Look for opportunities; look for growth; look for impact; look for mission. Move sideways; move down; move on; move off. Build your skills, not your résumé. Evaluate what you can do, not the title they’re going to give you. Do real work. Take a sales quota, a line role, an ops job. Don’t plan too much, and don’t expect a direct climb. If I had mapped out my career when I was sitting where you are, I would have missed my career.

As you grow, you’ll realize the definition of success changes. For many of you today, success is being able to hold down 20 shots of tequila. For me, the most important thing in your life is to live your life with integrity and not to give in to peer pressure to try to be something that you’re not, to live your life as an honest and compassionate person, to contribute in some way. So to conclude my conclusion, follow your passion, stay true to yourself. Never follow anyone else’s path unless you’re in the woods and you’re lost and you see a path and by all means you should follow that.

Albert Einstein used to say – You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else. There are some things success is not. It’s not the fame, it’s not the money or power. Success is waking up in the morning so excited about what you have to do that you literally fly out the door. It’s getting to work with people you love. Success is connecting with the world and making people feel. It’s finding a way to bind together people who have nothing in common but a dream. It’s falling asleep at night knowing you did the best job you could. Success is joy, love, freedom and friendship.

I am honoured to be with you today at our 30 th Anniversary  and sincerely I thank all of you including my team and Director with her family. Thanks for you continuous support cause if you believe it, you will do it.
