The 2022 built GRC flag and owned very large crude carrier (VLCC) HELLAS FOS that was built in South Korea by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) as hull no 3270 was photographed from on the air on 2 occasions by MALTA SHIP PHOTOS in Central Mediterranean.
Interesting to see the name as HELLAS FOS again on a giant as from 1986 to 1997 there was another lady with the same name that was built in 1979 at L’Atlantique St Nazaire yard, France with hull number as H26 as PRAIRIAL for Seatanker Management France.
Then we had the 1999 built (HHI) crude oil tanker HELLAS FOS that traded from 1999-2005 and the third ship , this time the 2008 built (HHI) 225 metre LPG tanker that sold for further service in 2021.
So now we have the 4th HELLAS FOS, a lovely lady with 300,000 deadweight tons (DWT).
Then on Monday 11th October, the first ship to ship (sts) operation commenced around 20 nautical miles offshore Malta with the 2004 built oil products tanker BEKS OCEAN that was built in South Korea too.
