LOCAL SHIPPING – Ex-RNLI Lifeboat at Malta – MERCY.
Since the end of the year 2015 a former Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) Mersey Class Lifeboat has been given her second life, this time as a Conveyance/Crewboat with the name of MERCY operated by Southseas Ship Supplier owned by Mr. Frankie Fava.
She was built in 1990 with the RNLI Fleet Operation Number 12-007 named as SPIRIT OF DERBYSHIRE stationed at Ilfracombe Lifeboat Station at Devon in the United Kingdom as one of the 38 built Mersey Class Lifeboats. She served from 1990 to 2015.
She used to operate from Marsaxlokk Harbour but since 2016 she moved to Kalkara Marina.
