SAFE HIBERNIA spotted bound to breakers. – 06.08.2017
Safe Hibernia was constructed at Rauma Repola, Finland, in 1977 to a modified Aker H-3 design and was upgraded in 1991 and 1994 before completing a major refurbishment and internal upgrade in 2006. She’s a moored semi-submersible accommodation vessel with beds for 632 persons capable of operating in harsh conditions.
She was built as TREASURE FINDER which had a hangar with an average compliment of five Bell 212 helicopters belonging to Bristow all with Golf Registry.
She was seen towed by Augustea Imprese Marittime e di Salvataggi SpA, 150 tons bollard pull tug CARLO MARTELLO last Sunday 6th August, 2017 stopping for a bunker stop before proceeding to Aliaga, Turkey for breakers.
