On Monday 3rd July, 2023 early afternoon a car aboard the ropax TA’ PINU caught fire while on Deck 2.
Thanks to trained crew who took immediate action in extinguishing the fire & made sure of all safety issues with no damages neither to the ship neither to cars in the area.
All passengers and vehicles were all safely disembarked with the said car towed by a tow truck. Though there was a slight delay, operations were not disrupted and no injuries were reported.
During Q1 of 2012 the ropax TA’ PINU was fitted with a hoistable deck at Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd and can now carry up to 150 vehicles.
