One of the towages around the world operated by Dutch Marine Contractors (DMC) was the towage of the Austal 82 catamaran SPEED JET towed by the 34 metre tug DUKE II was photographed from the air by Malta Ship Photos in the Mediterranean Sea .
DUKE II was built by Scheepswerf Gebr. Kooiman BV, Zwijndrecht, Netherlands with yard number 200 with keel laid on 23rd May, 2012, launched on 25th October,2012, and completed on 28th March 2013. She has 83.1 tons bollard pull.
SPEED JET is an Austal 82 catamaran named as FELIX I for the Danish Ferry Operator Scandlines AB.
In 2002 she was reflagged to Panama (PAN) and renamed CROAZIA JET operating for Aliscafi SNAV based at Messina, Sicily, Italy and before acquired by the Greek company Seajets she sailed in Venezuela for the company Conferry.
Since 1st December, 2021 she’s been named as SPEED JET.
And in Q4 of 2022 , the latest addition to the Greek owner was seen heading to Piraeus, Greece.
