One of the towages that are bound to Norway from Romania was the towage of Cruise Liner HULL 890 towed by the anchor handling tug FAIRPLAY 33 and it was photographed from the air by Malta Ship Photos in the Mediterranean Sea .

HULL 890 is one of the VARD 6 08 type new expedition cruise ships for the French Shipping Company Compagnie du Ponant.

With her name as LE JACQUES CARTIER since she’s already delivered (And was seen at Malta last Friday 5th May)  she was towed by the 2011 built anchor handling tug FAIRPLAY 33 which happens to be built at Romania too from VARD Shipyard Tulcea, Romania to Sovik, Norway for completion

FAIRPLAY 33 was built at Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries SA in Mangalia as yard number 6003 for Triton Shipholding GmbH & Co KG that signed the construction contract in July 2009 naming her as TRITON COMMANDER.

Her keel was laid down on December 14, 2009 and During April 2010 Triton Shipholding GmbH & Co KG arranged  for Harms Bergung  to manage the ship. In fact she emerged as black hull and all tugboats sailing for  Harms Bergung had a name ending in ‘US’ of which was renamed AEOLUS before her launch on August 7, 2010 .

In the course of subsequent phase out she was sold to Fairplay and changed her livery again, emerging as FAIRPLAY 33.

The concept for her design is based on Bureau Wijsmuller’s successful TEMPEST and TYPHOON
