On Monday 29th June 2015, the 1982 built NLD flag semi-submersible heavy load carrier TERN was photographed from the air by MALTA SHIP PHOTOS offshore Malta.
TERN was loaded with 2 dredgers – STEPAN DEMESHEV a 1988 built Russian Bucket Ladder Dredger and the Belgian 1970 built Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (THSD) VLAANDEREN XVIII being shipped to their new owner Mercator Lines, India.
TERN was built at Kaldnes Mekaniske Verksted at Tonsberg in Norway as DYVI TERN trading until January 1988 when she was renamed to TERN H.I. until April 1989 and sold to Dockwise of which she was renamed SEA TERN until January 1996 and finally TERN until February 2017 after her last voyage loaded with SMIT ORCA and TAKLIFT 6 of which all 3 vessels went to breakers in Turkey.

STEPAN DEMESHEV was built by Meyer Neptun Rostock, Germany in 1988 operating for Taberu Co.Ltd, Russia.
VLAANDEREN XVIII was built at IHC Dredgers at Kinterdijk in Netherlands for DEME, Belgium in 1970.
