On Monday 11th April, 2022 the towage of the disabled tanker CHEM P that ran aground on Saturday 19th March, 2022 (Public Holiday in Malta) was photographed from the air by MALTA SHIP PHOTOS.
While the tanker CHEM P was anchored Within Territorial Waters (WTW) of Malta awaiting various permissions to complete her voyage, on Monday 28th March 2022 around 1630 hrs she received a court warrant – 425/2022 from Enemalta plc with the claimed amount of € 30,000,000.
In the morning of Friday 8th April, 2022 around 0950 hrs the 2007 built ASD tug RINGHIO took over from OPAL at waiting area.
She was built by by Gemsan Gemi ve GemiIslt. San. ve Tic. Ltd. Sti., Turkey with yard number 27 for Sanmar Denizcilik Ltd., Turkey to be named SANMAR ESCORT V.
On 12th March, 2007 she was delivered to SOMAT S.p.A., Italy as RINGHIO with Robert Allan Naval Architects Design, Ltd.
