Around 2115 hrs of Wednesday 15th November, 2023 the Polish 10 m sailing yacht LA AVENTURA with call sign SPS 4217 contacted Malta VTS due that she ran aground, with the master requested to be evacuated after she was taking water.
AFM Defender rib P05 was immediately dispatched to the area, assessing the situation and started towing her to a safer area due to sea conditions with Force 5 to 6 NW Winds.
Last port of call was Leuca, Italy and at 2154 hrs , the sailing yacht was inside Marsamxett Harbour and started her entry towards Creek Marina at Msida.
By 2222 hrs she was secured near the Black Pearl .
