(A) – 1213 hrs – the SLE flag offshore support vessel TRAPICHE EMERALD entered Valletta bound to MMH coming from Bouri Field, Libya.

From 1430 to 1530 hrs the Italian Navy Maestrale class frigate ITS GRECALE F 571 shifted from Pinto 4 and 5 wharves to Boiler Wharf assisted by 2 tugs.

(A) – 1534 hrs – the 2011 built tug EDT AEOLUS entered Valletta berthing at Pinto 3 Wharf coming from OPL Malta (Alongside tanker GRACE FERRUM).

(A) – 1622  hrs – the 16m tug MULTRATUG 24 entered Marsamxett Harbour, coming from Mellitah, Libya

(A) – 1731 hrs – the 69 m research vessel FUGRO GAUSS entered Valletta berthing at Quay Wall 2 West, MMH Facilities.

(D) – 2031 hrs – the general cargo ship NS HOLLAND left Valletta from Fuel Wharf.

(A) – 2041 hrs – the general cargo ship PRIMA entered Valletta bound to Fuel Wharf.

(D) – 2132 hrs – the research vessel FUGRO GAUSS left Valletta from MMH Facilities.

(D) – 2157 hrs – the general cargo ship NS PRIDE left Valletta from Magazine Wharf.

Tuesday 18th March.

(D) – 0011 hrs – the anchor handing tug (AHT)  EDT AEOLUS left Valletta bound to anchor OPL Malta.

(A) – 0613 hrs – the VUT Flag general cargo ship ASLIHAN entered Valletta bound to Magazine Wharf.

(D) – 0638 hrs – the High Speed Craft (HSC) SAINT JOHN PAUL II left Valletta bound to Pozzallo during her daily crossing to Sicily.

(A) – 1126 hrs – the superyacht PALOMA entered Valletta bound to PSY Facilities from St. Paul’s Bay.

(A) – 1154 hrs – the 2006 built chemical/oil products tanker SONGA CRYSTAL entered Valletta berthing starboard side alongside SANTA MARTINA at the Tank Cleaning Farm (TCF) Jetty.

(Arrival to Malta) 1745 hrs – the 2025 built bunkering tanker SAN MIKIEL arrived at Malta from Istanbul, Turkey.
(A) 2028 hrs – the Oil Products Tanker ADELIA  entered Valletta bound to Laboratory Wharf for lay by.

At 2115 hrs STRONG WING WARNING was issued from Valletta VTS reporting strong ENE wind gusting in exposed areas of which the warning is valid until 0900 hrs of Wednesday 19th March.

Several Vessels were sheltering off Bunkering Area 6 with bunkering too, situated on the West Side of Malta including 13 fishing trawlers – 11 Italian, 1 Libyan.

Wednesday 19th March.

(A) 0055 hrs – The Marina Militare Italiana Cassiopea Class Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) ITS SPICA P 403 entered Valletta and berthed at Quay Wall 2 East, MMH Facilities with Harbour Pilot embarking inside the breakwaters near Imgerbeb Point at 0100 hrs with tugs PAWLINA and SEA SALVOR assisting. She’s the second unit of her class for this month.

From 0751 hrs to 1753 hrs the cruise liner MSC WORLD EUROPA was at Valletta berthed starboard side alongside at Pinto 1 and 2 wharves, part of Valletta Cruise Port coming from Messina, Sicily.

(D) 0841 hrs – the Oil Products Tanker ADELIA left Valletta from Laboratory Wharf.

By late morning nearly all fishing vessels sheltering on the West side of Malta were seen leaving the area for their passage to fishing grounds.

(D) 1021 hrs – the Italian Navy Maestrale Class Frigate ITS GRECALE F 571 passed breakwaters while leaving from Boiler Wharf.

Around 1300 hrs the LBY flag fishing vessel MAFAZA 1 that was sheltering off Bunkering Area 6 assisted by the Italian stern trawler VINCENZO RUTA advised Valletta VTS that repairs had been done and will stay in her position awaiting for better weather conditions.

MAFAZA 1 left Al Khoms, Libya last Saturday 15th March and she’s a former 2003 French built and trawler of which she still has her French Callsign on AIS

(D) – 1351 hrs – the chemical/oil products tanker SONGA CRYSTAL left Valletta from the Tank Cleaning Farm (TCF) Jetty after the cargo operations was completed earlier on.

From 1523  hrs to 1912 hrs the ro/ro ship ELISABETH RUSS was at Valletta berthed at Flagstone Wharf.

(D) 2038 hrs – the general cargo ship ASG ANNA VOVCHUK left Valletta from Lab South 2.

(D) 2116 hrs – the passenger ship LA BELLE DE L’ADRIATIQUE left Valletta from Pinto 4 and 5 wharves bound to Porto Grande, Syracuse, Sicily.

(S) 2136 hrs – the general cargo ship PRIMA shifted from Fuel Wharf to Laboratory Wharf South 1.

Thursday 20th March.

From 0623 to 1552 hrs the ropax EUROCARGO MALTA was at Valletta berthing at Laboratory Wharf.

(A) 0706 hrs – the general cargo ship NS SABINA entered Valletta, bound at Lab South 2.

(A) 0819 hrs – the general cargo ship NS HOLLAND entered Valletta, bound to Fuel Wharf.

(S) 1206 hrs – the ferry GNV ALLEGRA started shifting from Factory Wharf, Palumbo Malta Shipyards to Boiler Wharf.

At 1330 hrs Duty Pilot embarked on the tanker SALINA M that was programmed to depart from Dock 5, Palumbo Malta Shipyard but advised VTS that the Master wasn’t aware of this operation. After 1400 hrs manoeuvre started and whilst she was going astern assisted by tugs PAWLINA and WENZINA her engines malfunctioned and she had to berth at Pinto 1 and 2 wharves.

(Bunkers at Area 6) 1458 hrs – the Chemical/Oil Products tanker ORAMALIA reported that she was alongside the 2012 built LPG tanker CORAL SIDEREA for bunkering operations although she was booked at Pinto 1 and 2 wharves from 0700 to 1600 hrs for berthing purposes.

(D) 1617 hrs – the general cargo ship ASLIHAN left Valletta from Magazine Wharf.

(D) 1635 hrs – the tanker SALINA M left Valletta assisted by 1 tug for sea trials and afterwards to EVOS Terminal at Marsaxlokk Harbour.

(A) 1734 hrs – the LBY flag and owned fishing support vessel AL KAPTAN entered Valletta.

(A) 1835 hrs – the CYP flag general cargo ship WIDOR entered Valletta bound to Laboratory Wharf for uplifting bunkers.

(D) 1931 hrs – the general cargo ship NS SABINA left Valletta from Lab South 2.

At 1935 hrs the Chemical/Oil Products tanker ORAMALIA reported that she wanted to come to Valletta from Bunkering Area 6 with permission was granted few minutes later.

(D) 2315 hrs – the general cargo ship WIDOR left Valletta from Laboratory Wharf upon completion of uplifting bunkers.

Friday 21st March.

(A) 0013 hrs –  the Chemical/Oil Products tanker ORAMALIA entered Valletta coming from Bunkering Area 6 and berthed at Pinto 1 Wharf.

(A) 0728 hrs – the Chemical/Oil Products tanker ECOMATE entered Valletta and berthed at Pinto 2 Wharf.

(D) 0828 hrs – The Italian Navy Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) ITS SPICA P 403 left Valletta from Quay Wall 2 East, MMH Facilities.

(S) 0936 hrs – The bitumen tanker ASPHALT TERANGA started her shifting from Bormla Wharf to Dock 5 at Palumbo Malta Shipyard.

(S) 1053 hrs – the ferry GNV ALLEGRA started shifting from Boiler Wharf to Factory Wharf, Palumbo Malta Shipyards.

(D) 1109 hrs – the CPD Hydrolift P42 fireboat MANUCCA left Valletta from her base. She re-entered 21 minutes later.

(D) 1137 hrs – the general cargo ship NS HOLLAND left Valletta from Fuel Wharf.

(D) 1212 hrs –  the Chemical/Oil Products tanker ORAMALIA left Valletta from Pinto 1 Wharf.

(S) 1215 hrs – the general cargo ship PRIMA completed shifting from Magazine Wharf to Fuel Wharf.

(A) 1311 hrs – The fishing support vessel GERARDO PADRE entered Valletta bound to Bridge Wharf.

From 1428  hrs to hrs the ro/ro ship CAROLINE RUSS was at Valletta berthed at Flagstone Wharf.

(A) 1453 hrs – The Local bunkering ship BAWA-I entered Valletta bound to her berthing place at Mifsud Verandah.

(A) 1506 hrs – ALB flag fishing vessel CELEPIJA III entered Valletta coming from Durres, Albania to change flag.

(A) 2031 hrs – the general cargo ship NS ARLECCHINO entered Valletta bound to Magazine Wharf.

Saturday 22nd March.

(A) 0041 hrs –  the Chemical/Oil Products tanker ORAMALIA entered Valletta bound to TCF.

From 0611 to 1419 hrs the ropax EUROCARGO VENEZIA was at Valletta berthed at Laboratory Wharf inner.

(A) 0708 hrs – the general cargo ship EDRO IV entered Valletta bound to Lab South 2.

At 0930 hrs Valletta VTS issued a strong wind SE warning (Force 6 to 7) valid till 2200 hrs and will be renewed accordingly.

(D) 1126 hrs –  the Chemical/Oil Products tanker ORAMALIA left Valletta from TCF.

(A) 1134 hrs – the research vessel OCEAN VANGUARD entered Valletta bound to Pinto 1 Wharf.

(D) 1331 hrs –  the sailing catamaran SIESTA MIA left Valletta from Harbour Cruise .

(A)  1459 hrs – the oil products tanker VIGO entered Valletta for Laboratory Wharf.

(A) 1536 hrs – the Oil Products Tanker ADELIA entered Valletta embarking pilot inside bound to berth STS Operation with the above tanker VIGO.

(D) 0748 hrs – the oil products tanker VANNA left Valletta from alongside ECOMATE at Pinto 2 Wharf.

(D) 0815 hrs – the Chemical/Oil Products tanker ECOMATE left Valletta from at Pinto 2 Wharf.

(D) 2019 hrs – the general cargo ship EDRO IV left Valletta from Lab South 2.

(A)  2140 hrs – the tug EDT AEOLUS entered Valletta berthing at Pinto 2 Wharf coming from OPL Malta

Meanwhile Ras Hanzir extension remained stopped after the Maltese Government action due to delays. The original agreement for the €65 million development was cancelled after only 10 per cent of the work had been carried out by Excelsis Energi Üretim Construction Consortium.
