One of the fishing vessels that was converted into an anti piracy vessel is the Maltese (MLT) Flag vessel DE 421.

She was built at Muggia, Trieste in Italy in 1994 as PUCCIO SECONDO with fishing matricola as CT 2850 homeported a Catania, Italy. During 2015 she use to operate for a Maltese company and used to berth at Malta Shipbuilding Co Ltd (MSCL) Dock 7 mouth.

                                   

In July 2015 she was spotted on her hard with AL 345 still homeported at Plymouth (GBR) near the Civil Protection Department (CPD) Marine Unit and in late 2015 she emerged as DE 421 homeported at Ulanbaatar, Mongolia (MNG) Flag with radio call sign as JVDQ6, grey hull as below –

She was spotted shifting from Marsa to Kalkara Marina back to 17th March, 2016. Later she moved to her current berthing place – Moored at Manoel Island Marina with other anti piracy vessels of the same company.

Since December, 2020 she was spotted on her hard slipped on SLIP 2 at Manoel Island Yacht Yard (MIYY) homeported at Valletta (MLT Flag).
