During the early stages of Blue Fin Tuna (BFT) fishing industry, several interesting vessels were engaged in towing tuna cages with one of them was the Icelandic 44.95 meters trawler EYBORG built at Estaleiros Sao Jacinto in Aveiro, Portugal in 1994.

During June 1992 her keel was laid and 6 months later she was launched, In 1994 she was delivered and classed as DNV at that time NV, homeported at Hrisey, Iceland with fishing matricola as EA 59 for operator BORG HF. Her loa was 44.95 meters with 7.9 meters beam.

Later on she was reflagged to Lithuania (LTU) with homeport as Klaipeda and fishing matricola as KL 715 for some time and again to Iceland as EA 59.
