The Dutch built and owned Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) LELYSTAD finished her last voyage to the breakers at Aliaga, Turkey on Tuesday 6th October.

She was built at IHC Merwede Scheepswerf at Hardinxveld Giessendam, Netherlands with yard number 618 as LELYSTAD for Ballast Nedam until 2001; sold to Ballast HAM Dredging until 2003 where the latter became as Koninklijke Van Oord NV, Netherlands retaining the same name.

She was 136.95 m long (loa) with 26.07 metres beam and loaded draft of 8.19 metres. She had 2 x Wartsila (Stork Werkspoor) engines with total power of 15,974 kW and 15.2 knots as speed. Her dredging depth was 70 metres with 2 dredging pipes and a suction pipe diameter of 1.2 metres

She left Santos, Brazil last 18th August, stopping at Rio de Janeiro for 5 hours. Arrived at Cadiz, Spain on 14th September for nearly 9 days leaving on 23rd September and arriving at Aliaga, Turkey on Thursday 5th October.
