One of the bunkering tankers operating around the Maltese Islands is the 2010 built tanker ADELIA.
She was built in China by Sopo Shipyard at Zhenjiang as MARILENA II for Pearl Prosperity with Marshall Islands Flag (MHL) and renamed to ADELIA in November 2013. She was first seen in Malta in 2019 of which during July/August 2019 she was drydocked at Palumbo Malta Shipyard Dock 4 and floating repairs till September 2019.

And on 1st October, 2020 she was assigned as EMSA ( European Maritime Safety Agency ) vessel with 180 tons dispersant with contract no 2019/EMSA/CPNEG/1/2019 Lot 3 (Central Mediterranean Sea) . Here leaving Grand Harbour on Saturday 17th April in the afternoon –
And on Monday 19th April she was spotted bunkering the container ship NORDSUMMER berthed at Malta Freeport Terminal 2.
