One of the Dutch built tugs trading around – MUSTANG called again at Grand Harbour, Malta while on transit from Greece to Las Palmas, Canary Islands. She passed breakwaters at 0734 hrs berthing at Deep Water Quay (DWQ) 4 Wharf.
Few minutes later road tankers from MZ Fuels starting bunkering operations.
MUSTANG was built in the Netherlands by Scheepswerf Gebroeders Kooiman with yard number 183 in 2009 homeported at Amsterdam (NLD) until 2013. Then she was reflagged to Arkhangelsk at Russia (RUS) until 2017 where she was reflagged to Limassol at Cyprus (CYP) until 2020 of which she was reflagged to RUS flag again but this time with homeport as Saint Petersburg for only a year, of which she was reflagged once again to CYP.
She’s 30.50 m long (loa) with 10.50 m beam and maximum draught of 4.14 metres. She has 2 Mitsubishi S12 U MPTK Diesel Engines – 4 stroke 12 cylinder 240 x 260 mm combustion engine output each 2238 kW / 3.041 bhp at 1.100 rpm with two 5 bladed propellers solid in short nozzles at 240 rpm with a bow thruster of 240 kW.
She has Anchor Handling/Towing winch: Kraaieveld: Main drum: 1000 m 58 mm – 2nd drum: 700 m 58 mm with Karmoy fork and towing pins.
With bunker capacity of 223 m³ Fuel Oil; 18 m³ Fresh Water; 3,6 m³ Lub Oil; 1,5 m³ Hydraulic Oil and 4,8 m³ Sewage she has accommodation for 8 souls.
With Bollard Pull of 83.1 tons she left Valletta at 1539 hrs marking her second call for this year.
