The latest vessel that joined the fleet for the Malaysian based OMS Group (OMSG) in July 2022, the CABLE VIGILANCE has entered Grand Harbour, Malta during August 2023. She’s the new submarine cable installation and was inaugurated in Dunkirk.
She was built in China by CIMC Raffles Offshore at Yantai for British Petroleum (BP), UK as the CALEDONIAN VIGILANCE.
Leaving Aberdeen, Scotland back to 25th August, 2012.
In June 2021 she was sold and renamed GSP LICORN trading for only 30 days by GSP Offshore Srl, Romania replacing an offshore ship with the same name that was scrapped.
Late July 2021 she was acquired by Optic Marine Maintenance Ltd of Labuan, Malaysia and renamed CABLE VIGILANCE.
She entered Grand Harbour, Malta 3 times already with her maiden call on Monday 7th August berthing at DWQ of which she left the following day around 1930 hrs.
Then we saw her last Friday 18th berthed at Magazine Wharf and left the following day.
And she entered Grand Harbour once again this morning at 1021 hrs bound to DWQ 2 Wharf.
