A cargo ship or freighter is a merchant ship that carries cargo, goods, and materials from one port to another. Thousands of cargo carriers ply the world’s seas and oceans each year, handling the bulk of international trade. Cargo ships are usually specially designed for the task, often being equipped with cranes and other mechanisms to load and unload, and come in all sizes.

On Monday 1st November, 2021 the 1993 built PAN flag 88 metre general cargo ship ELKE entered Grand Harbour at 0625 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf for discharging cargo at Kordin Grain Terminal (KGT). She left on Tuesday 2nd at 0024 hrs bound to Split, Croatia.
On Friday 5th November, 2021 the 1985 built PAN flag 88 metre general cargo ship QUATERDECIES entered Grand Harbour at 0814 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf for discharging cargo at Kordin Grain Terminal (KGT). She left later at 2253 hrs bound to Augusta, Italy.
On Saturday 6th November, 2021 the 1993 built PAN flag 90 metre general cargo ship NS EXPLORER was spotted berthing at Fuel Wharf for discharging cement.
On Monday 8th November, 2021 the 1982 built CAM flag 88 metre general cargo ship VELA 1 entered Grand Harbour at 0054 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf for discharging cargo. She left on Tuesday 9th at 0755 hrs bound to Augusta, Italy.
On Monday 8th November, 2021 the 2004 built TUR flag 92 metre general cargo ship KAPTAN ERDOGAN entered Grand Harbour at 0613 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf for discharging cargo at Kordin Grain Terminal (KGT). She left on Tuesday 9th at 1121 hrs bound to Sousse, Tunisia.
On Tuesday 9th November, 2021 the 1983 built KNA flag 94 metre general cargo ship LADY SUHA entered Grand Harbour at 2337 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf for discharging cargo. She left on Wednesday 10th at 1727 hrs bound to Sousse, Tunisia.
On Friday 12th November, 2021 the 1993 built PAN flag 90 metre general cargo ship NS EXPLORER entered Grand Harbour at 0200 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf for discharging cargo. She left in the evening at 1924 hrs bound to Sousse, Tunisia.
On Friday 12th November, 2021 the 1983 built ALB flag 90 metre general cargo ship EDRO IV entered Grand Harbour at 2346 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf for discharging cargo. She left on Saturday 13th November at 2028 hrs bound to Augusta, Italy.
On Friday 12th November, 2021 the 1982 built CAM flag 88 metre general cargo ship VELA 1 entered Grand Harbour at 0104 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf for discharging cargo. She left in the evening at 1830 hrs awaiting orders.
On Tuesday 16th November, 2021 the 1985 built PAN flag 74 metre general cargo ship ALTIUS entered Grand Harbour at 0616 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf for discharging cargo. She left in the evening at 1825 hrs bound to Cagliari, Italy.
Also on Tuesday 16th November, 2021 the 1983 built ALB flag 90 metre general cargo ship EDRO IV entered Grand Harbour at 2028 hrs berthing at Fuel Wharf for discharging cement in bulk. She left on Wednesday 17th November at 1823 hrs awaiting orders.
On Wednesday 17th November, 2021 the 1993 built PAN flag 81 metre general cargo ship WINSEN entered Grand Harbour at 0614 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf for discharging cargo at Kordin Grain Terminal (KGT). She left later at 2000 hrs bound to Dumyat, Egypt.
On Thursday 18th November, the 2007 built NLD flag 105 metre general cargo ship DEO VOLENTE entered Grand Harbour at 0716 hrs berthing at Laboratory Wharf South 2 for discharging cargo & 26 metre yacht.
She ordered pilot to leave at 0930 hrs.

On Saturday 20th November, 2021 the 1990 built PAN flag 80 metre general cargo ship SNP STAR entered Grand Harbour at 0620 hrs coming from Bizerte, Tunisia berthing at Laboratory Wharf for loading scrap iron.
On Sunday 21st November , the tug ST ELMO towed the 80 metre 1982 built with PAN flag general cargo ship NS DANTE after an engine failure while she was on her way to Malta.
At 1135 hrs tug VITTORIOSA made fast off Grand Harbour and proceed to the floating dock CAMILEON at Cassar Ship Repair Yard.
On Monday 22nd November, 2021 the 1990 built PAN flag 88 metre general cargo ship NURDOGAN entered Grand Harbour at 0612 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf for discharging cargo at Kordin Grain Terminal (KGT). She left on Tuesday 23rd November bound to Istanbul, Turkey.
On Saturday 28th November, 2021 the 1991 built PAN flag 75 metre general cargo ship SERENITY AC entered Grand Harbour at 2309 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf for discharging cargo at Kordin Grain Terminal (KGT). She left on Tuesday 30th November at 2125 hrs bound to Catania, Sicily.
On Tuesday 30th November, 2021 the 1993 built PAN flag 90 metre general cargo ship NS EXPLORER was spotted berthed at Lab South 2 after completing discharging cement at Fuel Wharf of which she entered Grand Harbour at 0927 hrs coming from Augusta, Sicily on Saturday 27th November.
