On Tuesday 18th June, 2024 the 2011 Turkish built and owned general cargo ship AMISOS entered Grand Harbour bound to Laboratory Wharf South 1, passing breakwaters at 0621 hrs.

Her call was to discharge Steel Sheet Piles to be used at Ras Hanzir Jetty Extension Project. The segments with indented profiles interlock to form a wall with alternating indents and outdents as they are  flipped 180° versus the preceding segment.

AMISOS was built by Marmara Shipyard at Korfez, Turkey for Yilmar Shipping & Trading –

In the afternoon of Wednesday 19th she shifted to Magazine Wharf, not to obstacle Grimaldi Lines ropax berthing at Laboratory Wharf inner with her stern ramp on Lab South 1.
