Casualties – Allision between 2 tankers outside territorial waters of Malta – 07.07.2024

On Sunday 7th July, 2024, at 1815 hrs the 1998 built Malta (MLT) flag and owned Chemical/Oil Products tanker SANTA MARTINA reported to Valletta VTS that at 1720 hrs the Cameroon (CMR) Flag 120 metre oil carrier ANGELO 2 allided with her while she was anchoring outside territorial waters (otw).

No injuries and No Pollution was reported with SANTA MARTINA reported some damages.

ANGELO 2 reported that No Damages to her was done and she was requested to send Statement of Facts (SOF) to her local agent via Valletta VTS, same to SANTA MARTINA.

Since the accident happened at otw, SANTA MARTINA was advised by Valletta VTS to report to MALTA VTS on VHF Ch 69.
