While the tanker CHEM P is Within Territorial Waters (WTW) of Malta awaiting various permissions to complete her voyage here are the latest movements –
Sunday 17th April, 2022
On Easter Sunday she shifted back to waiting area from Bunkering Area 6.
Monday 18th April, 2022
Various SITREP calls from VTS to CHEM P was done with one of them at 1123 hrs – Wind was NW gusting to 20 knots, Swell was NNW direction with 1.5/2 metre height , Sea State was moderate with anchor up and down.
Tuesday 19th April, 2022
1515 hrs – CHEM P requested to go and anchor at Bunkering Area 6 due to strong wind forecasted on Thursday 21st April of which request was denied due to no permission, but can only drift.
Wednesday 20th April, 2022
0819 hrs – CHEM P towed by RINGHIO left waiting area.
0956 hrs – VTS to RINGHIO – ETA to NW of Gozo of which the Italian tug answered that more or less around midnight.
1028 hrs – RINGHIO to VTS – Update of eta is midnight and will call every 2 hours.
1148 hrs – CHEM P to VTS – Weather in current position is with wind in Southerly direction 20 knots and swell in southerly direction too.
2354 hrs – RINGHIO to VTS – Reaching W of Gozo and to keep proceeding to NW for better shelter area.
Thursday 21st April, 2022
0104 hrs – CHEM P towed by RINGHIO arriving 5 nautical miles off San Dimitri Point at the NW of Gozo.
Weather forecast for today was SSE Force 7 to 8 becoming SSW Force 5
1128 hrs – CHEM P to VTS – Wind is Southerly 38 to 50 knots sometimes gusting to 55 knots, Wave Height is 4/5 metres and Visibility is Moderate.
1834 hrs – Towage commenced to shift back again to waiting area.

0805 hrs – CHEM P towed by RINGHIO approaching waiting area.
