The Fars News Agency which is a news agency in Iran managed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an armed wing loyal to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei reported that several people were injured in an accident during repair work aboard the Navy’s Moudge Class Frigate IRIS SAHAND 74 of the Southern Fleet.

The incident likely occurred during repairs to the frigate propulsion system and her ballast tank at the southern port city of Bandar Abbas, where she’s homeported as a base, Fars reported. Images posted by local media showed the 2018 commissioned frigate capsized in port since she listed and had become partially submerged, but can be refloated and repaired, according to Fars.
