On Saturday 11th March the 2003 built local owned tanker SANTA LUCIA which had a machine failure off the coast of Çanakkale Kepez whilst she was underway from Malta to Tuzla, was safely anchored in the Dark Harbor by the crews of the General Directorate of Coastal Safety.

After the captain of SANTA LUCIA reported the situation to the Cannakale Strait Ship Traffic Services Directorate via VHF, the 2017 built tug TURKELI under the General Directorate of Coastal Safety (KEGM) was dispatched to the area with all passing ships advised about the disabled vessel.

SANTA LUCIA berthed at Tank Cleaning Farm, Ricasoli at Grand Harbour, Malta back to February, 2023.

Later during Week 11, she was seen drydocked at Tuzla, Turkey
