One of the beautiful ships calling at Grand Harbour, Malta is the 38 year old lady DANAVIK.
Built in 1983 in Japan by Higaki Shipbuilding at Imabari as KUROHIME MARU trading until 2003, then CEM JIN for only a year, sold to Klaveness Maritime Logistics AS, Norway and renamed KCL BANSHEE still with red hull trading until March 2010 where she was renamed with her current name.
Homeported at Limassol (CYP) she’s 104 metres long with 16 metres as beam. Above images are while she’s leaving Valletta last 19th February, 2021.
Though the funnel is black, on her starboard side one can observe a basketball hoop attached to the funnel with net around to avoid loosing the ball during recreation. Below images of DANAVIK leaving Grand Harbour on 20th April, 2021 showing her starboard side.
