The sixth ship of the Ponant Explorers class of cruise ships operated by the French line Compagnie du Ponant is LE JACQUES CARTIER.
In March 2018, Ponant announced the order of two additional 180-passenger expedition ships including LE JACQUES CARTIER of which MALTA SHIP PHOTOS had the opportunity to photograph from the air the towage of LE JACQUES CARTIER as Hull 890 towed by tug FAIRPLAY 33 from VARD Shipyard Tulcea, Romania to Sovik, Norway for completion back to December 2019.

Meanwhile today Friday 5th May we saw the liner entering Valletta at 0641 hrs coming from Siracusa, Sicily.
Berthing at Pinto 3 Wharf, Valletta Cruise Port for few hours.
