Carnival Corporation’s AIDA Cruises brand yesterday Wednesday 23rd June announced that the cruise liner AIDAcara has been sold and will leave the fleet soon after 25 years in service for the German cruise brand. So far a buyer was not named.

Back to 10th April,2006 while entering Grand Harbour, Malta.

AIDA Cruises was started with the AIDAcara in 1996, which first entered service as the AIDA, later during September 2001 she was renamed as the AIDAcara. The announcement of the sale comes after AIDA’s parent company Carnival Corporation announced that AIDA’s third unnamed and unbuilt Excel class ship will instead be built for Carnival Cruise Line, while fellow Carnival-owned Costa Cruises will transfer COSTA MAGNIFICA to the Carnival Cruise Line fleet. The delivery of AIDAcosma, which was delayed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is unchanged.
