STAY AT HOME is the global message of the moment. The Hamburg based cruise company Hapag-Lloyd Cruises fleet which would normally be sailing the seven seas, is now heading for the waters of her home port.

The 2018 built expedition ship the HANSEATIC NATURE returned to Hamburg last Monday 20th April.

Her sister ship, the 2019 built HANSEATIC INSPIRATION is on her way back to Hamburg with ETA of 2nd May. Both ships will go to Blohm+Voss for repair work.

The 1999 built luxury ship EUROPA currently in the Caribbean is on her way back to Hamburg with ETA of 2nd May. She will moor up at the O’Swaldkai.

The 2013 built luxury ship EUROPA 2 currently on her way back to Hamburg with ETA of 2nd May berthing at her berth in Altona. Both ships will remain there for the time being until they can start operating their schedules again.

The 1990 built BREMEN will remain off Auckland at New Zealand.

The last of the guests on board the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ fleet all returned home safe and well on 21st March. The cruise operator brought a total of around 1,000 guests home early from all over the world, due to the coronavirus pandemic disease. Charter flights had to be organised as scheduled flights had been cancelled.
