In August 2016 2 Chinese built tugs HAIMA and HAMRA stopped at Malta during their delivery voyage from Oman to UK where they were acquired by SMS Towage Ltd. In fact for the voyage their flag was changed from Oman (OMN) to Cyprus flag (CYP).
HAIMA was built in 2005 by Guangdong Hope Yue Shipbuilding Industry at Guangzhou, China. The name HAIMA has different meanings such as a Muslim Girl Name which her lucky number is 6 and it is a town in Central Oman. She’s 31 metres long with 10 metres beam and 162 tons as deadweight (DWT). She was seen berthed at Boiler Wharf, Grand Harbour, Malta on Thursday 11th August leaving harbour the following day on Friday 12th August bound to UK to be renamed as SUPERMAN homeported at Hull, UK.





HAMRA was built in 2005 by Guangdong Hope Yue Shipbuilding Industry at Guangzhou, China. The name HAIMA has different meanings such as a red etc and it is a 400 year old town in Oman known as AL HAMRA. She’s 30 metres long with 10 metres beam and 193 tons as deadweight (DWT). She was seen leaving harbour from Boiler Wharf on Thursday 25th August bound to UK to be renamed as SERVICEMAN homeported at Hull, UK.
