A Damen 2710 Hybrid designed Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) – HST PADSTOW entered Grand Harbour, Malta on Saturday 13th April, 2024 at 1332 hrs  bound for Deep Water Quay (DWQ) 2 Wharf for uplifting bunkers coming from Souda Bay, Crete.

At 1354 hrs she was secured at her berth and 20 minutes later she started uplifting bunkers by road tanker.

With Aluminium Hull/Superstructure she’s 26.8m long (loa) with 10.8m beam and maximum draft of 2.30 m. Her crew complement can be 3 souls (12 hours) or 6 souls (24 hrs). With a cargo area of 90 square metres her deck load is 1.5ts for a square metre.

At 1507 hrs she reported to Valletta VTS that her bunkers were completed.

Homeported at Swansea (GBR Flag) she has 12.8ts bollard pull with 2 Caterpillar C32 TTA main engines giving her maximum speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots. At 1818 hrs she passed breakwaters on her way to next port of call – Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy of which at the time of writing she’s berthed at Molo Sabaudo.
