On Friday 11th March, 2022 at 1411 hrs the 2003 built GBR flag 27.70 metres workboat CHANNEL CHIEFTAIN VII passed breakwaters during her delivery voyage from Weymouth, UK to Malta.



She was built in Spain by Mercurio Plastics Shipyard at Cartagena as HERMANOS ALBA TERCERO homeported at Cartagena, Spain for the Fuentes Group for the BlueFin Tuna Industry. She was seen in Malta both in 2006 and 2007.

She was renamed since January 2003 as CHANNEL CHIEFTAIN VII owned by the family owned Carlin Boat Charters, UK.

CHANNEL CHIEFTAIN VII started her delivery voyage leaving Weymouth, UK on Thursday 20th January bound to Portland, UK of which she spent 20 days and back again to Weymouth for another 6 days of which she left on Tuesday 15th February of which on Thursday 3rd March, her crew did an abandon ship drill while at Douarnenez, France and then to Cartagena, Spain from which she left on Tuesday 8th March proceeding to Valletta.




She will be reflagged to MLT flag since currently she’s homeported at Weymouth (GBR Flag) and will be renamed as LADY SHARONE. She will be the second catamaran hull workboat owned by AJD Tuna Ltd, Malta.
