On Thursday 12th January, 2023, the newbuilt LNG Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) VOX APOLONIA passed breakwaters at 0659 hrs on her delivery voyage from her builders via the Suez Canal.
She was built in Singapore by Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd of which last 13th December 2022 the delivery ceremony was done. In fact she left 9 days later at 1227 hrs on Thursday 22nd December starting her voyage to Europe. She’s the second unit delivered out of 3 dual-fuel dredgers after VOX ARIANE.
Once she was berthed at Pinto 1 and 2 wharves, part of Valletta Cruise Port , she started taking provisions and uplifting bunkers by the Zeta Energy Bunkering tanker BAWA-I.
Upon completion of bunkers, pilot was ordered and she left at 1657 hrs bound to Moerdijk, Netherlands.
