Maltese aquaculture produce is almost entirely exported to European and Asian markets. Over 65 percent of annual landings originates from the tuna and dolphin fish fisheries, which contribute about 56 percent in value terms (about US$ 6 million). Blue Fin Tuna (BFT) Season is on the way too.

Sunday 30th May –
1116 hrs – The 2020 built MLT flag and owned fishing support vessel EMMAYA left Grand Harbour bound for sea trials. She returned back at 1202 hrs.
2012 hrs – The 1981 built ALB flag and owned purse seiner ROZAFA 22 entered Grand Harbour coming from Shengjin, Albania berthing at Wine Wharf for customs clearance.
2014 hrs – The 1980 built ALB flag and owned purse seiner ROZAFA 21 entered Grand Harbour coming from Shengjin, Albania berthing at Wine Wharf for customs clearance.
2313 hrs – The 2018 built ALB flag and owned purse seiner ROZAFA 23 arrived at Mareblu Tuna Farm from fishing grounds.
2322 hrs – The 2007 built ALB flag and owned purse seiner ROZAFA 15 arrived at Mareblu Tuna Farm from fishing grounds.
Monday 31st May –
0755 hrs – Both ROZAFA 21 and ROZAFA 22 shifted from Wine Wharf to Church Wharf but by 1045 hrs they shifted back to Wine Wharf
1212 hrs – The 2007 built ALB flag and owned purse seiner ROZAFA 15 was towed from Mareblu Tuna Farm towards Laboratory Wharf South 2, Grand Harbour with ROZAFA 23 towing her alongside while tugboat GOZZO was assisting.
1430 hrs – The LBY flag and owned purse seiners CYRENE and MORINA shifted from MMH Facilities to alongside ASARYA berthed at Bridge Wharf.
1803 hrs – The LBY flag stern trawler RABAH entered Grand Harbour and berthed at Boiler Wharf.
Tuesday 1st June –
0941 hrs – The 2020 built DZA flag and owned purse seiner SERAJ entered Grand Harbour for customs clearance berthing at Wine Wharf. She left at 1039 hrs bound to Elbros Quay at Marsaxlokk Harbour.
0947 hrs – The 2016 built DZA flag and owned purse seiner BORHANE I entered Grand Harbour for customs clearance berthing at Wine Wharf. She left at 1041 hrs bound to Elbros Quay at Marsaxlokk Harbour.
0959 hrs – The 2018 built DZA flag and owned purse seiner SIDI MAAMAR entered Grand Harbour for customs clearance berthing at Wine Wharf. She left at 1044 hrs bound to Elbros Quay at Marsaxlokk Harbour.
1224 hrs – The 1981 built ALB flag and owned purse seiner ROZAFA 22 left Marsaxlokk Harbour towing a tuna cage.
1254 hrs – The 1980 built ALB flag and owned purse seiner ROZAFA 21 left Marsaxlokk Harbour towing a tuna cage.
Wednesday 2nd June –
0039 hrs – The 2002 built FRA flag and owned purse seiner JEAN MARIE CHRISTIAN VI entered Grand Harbour,berthing at DWQ 1 and she left harbour at 1149 hrs bound to the Tyrrhenian Sea.
0043 hrs – The 1992 built FRA flag and owned purse seiner JEAN MARIE CHRISTIAN III entered Grand Harbour, berthing at DWQ 1 and she left harbour at 1149 hrs bound to the Tyrrhenian Sea.
0052 hrs – The 2003 built FRA flag and owned purse seiner JEAN MARIE CHRISTIAN VII entered Grand Harbour, berthing at DWQ 1
0107 hrs – The 1994 built FRA flag and owned purse seiner JEAN MARIE CHRISTIAN IV entered Grand Harbour, berthing at DWQ 1 alongside JEAN MARIE CHRISTIAN VII.
Other purse seiners working for Malta Fish Farming entered Grand Harbour in the early hours berthing at Church Wharf.
0840 hrs – The 2002 built FRA flag and owned purse seiner SAINT SOPHIE FRANCOISE II entered Grand Harbour, berthing at DWQ 1 while at 0844 hrs her sistership SAINT SOPHIE FRANCOISE III followed her coming from Sete, France.
1112 hrs – The 2006 built DZA flag and owned purse seiner FEL ABDELKADER entered Grand Harbour, berthing alongside CYRENE at Bridge Wharf.
Thursday 3rd June –
0931 hrs – The 1947 built MLT flag and owned tugboat CMS SEACAT entered Grand Harbour and berthed at DWQ 1.
1019 hrs – The 2001 built ITA flag and owned purse seiner LUIGI PADRE entered Grand Harbour coming from Salerno, first awaiting orders at Bighi Bay due to a tuna cage towage and then she berthed at MMH Facilities.
2218 hrs – The ALB flag and owned purse seiners ROZAFA 15 and ROZAFA 23 left Grand Harbour from Laboratory Wharf South 2 bound to fishing grounds.
Friday 4th June –
0907 hrs – The 2006 built DZA flag and owned purse seiner FEL ABDELKADER left Grand Harbour bound to sea.
1023 hrs – The 2020 built DZA flag and owned purse seiner SERAJ entered Grand Harbour berthing at Church Wharf alongside other Malta Fish Farming (MFF) Vessels.
1218 hrs – The 2001 built ITA flag and owned purse seiner LUIGI PADRE left Grand Harbour bound to fishing grounds.
1320 hrs – The 2008 built TUR flag and owned purse seiner OSMAN SERTER 1 completed uplifting bunkers at Area 3 by the bunkering tanker SPIRO F.
1633 hrs – THE LBY flag and owned purse seiners MORINA and CYRENE left Grand Harbour bound to fishing grounds south of Italy.
Sunday 6th June –
1953 hrs – The ALB flag and owned purse seiners ROZAFA 15 and ROZAFA 23 entered Grand Harbour mooring at Fishmarket on anchors.
