The first Italian stern trawler that entered Malta in 2022 was the 2005 built REGINA. She entered Grand Harbour on Friday 25th March at 2125 hrs berthing at Magazine Wharf.

She was built at Cantiere Navale IL Carpentiere Di Asaro S.Ec Snc at Mazara Del Vallo where she’s homeported and also with fishing matricola MV 375. She’s 26.26 metres long with 7 metres beam and radio callsign as IRWC.

She’s not a new lady in our harbour especially when she’s involved in towing Blue Fin Tuna (BFT) cages during the BFT season contracted by Maltese Tuna Farms.

Above images back to May 2008 while leaving Grand Harbour, Malta.

She left Grand Harbour, Malta on Monday 28th March at 1338 hrs.
