A prototype General Service Launch built in UK for the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineeers of the British Army is still trading with her original name – TREVOSE.

She was built in 1964 by Thornycroft, Southampton with 74 tons Displacement as a General Service Launch for the War Department Fleet, performing duties with the Royal Army Service Corps, Royal Corps of Transport and finally the Royal Naval Reserve. She was used for many years as a navigation training ship before being transferred to the Royal Naval Reserve in 1982. Sold out of the military in January 1983 and today she is a distinctive private pleasure yacht.

First time to be spotted at Malta was back to July 2012 wearing white hull doing some floating repairs by Manoel Island Yacht Yard (MIYY) Personnel before being slipped in October 2013.

She was slipped once again at MIYY in April, 2014 and a year later in 2015.

During the last quarter of 2017 she called at R W Davis & Son Ltd shipyard at Gloucester in UK for a few modifications and general maintenance to the hull wearing a grey hull (since 2016 as she was spotted at Malta). In 2018 she called again for the fitting of the £150,000 1.4 tonne sphere SeaKeeper gyroscopic stabiliser designed to stabilise the ship in heavy seas and helps prevent rolling during which the on-board engineers during sea trials recorded a 93% reduction in roll.

On the 28th June, 2019 she was spotted entering Sliema Creek, Marsamxett Harbour, Malta as per below images –

Lately in May, 2021 she called to Malta on her way to Southampton, UK coming from the Red Sea.
