The Port of Haifa  is the largest of Israel’s three major international seaports, the others being the Port of Ashdod, and the Port of Eilat. It has a natural deep water harbor, which operates all year long, and serves both passenger and merchant ships. It is one of the largest ports in the eastern Mediterranean in terms of freight volume and handles about 30 million tons of cargo per year (not including Israel Shipyards’ port).

Here are some of the interesting shipping movements for the month of November, 2021 –

11th November – The Bulgarian Navy frigate DRAZKI 41 was spotted off Haifa. She’s the former Belgian Navy frigate F 912 WANDELAAR which was sold to Bulgaria in 2004.

13th November – The Hellenic Navy Hydra Class (MEKO 200HN) Frigate HS SPETSAI F 453 left Haifa after diplomatic visit of 2 days. Her previous call was from 8th to 9th December 2020.

19th November – The 2000 built 278 metre long mother ship ZIM EUROPE left Haifa, bound to Valencia, Spain on a rainy day.
