The Kordin Grain Terminal (KGT) situated at Grand Harbour , Malta provides facilities for the handling, storage and transhipment of all types of free flowing grains at the Magazine Wharves.

The steel works were made by the former employees of Malta Shipbuilding Co Ltd (MSCL) which was a Maltese state-owned ship building company.

The first ship unloader was in action with various kinds of ships –

On 15th June 2022 the Minister for the Economy, European Funds and Lands issued a Press Release announcing an investment of €4 million which covers the purchase of a new crane which will replace one that has been operating from the beginning and which will lead to a more smooth and efficient operation at the terminal. This investment will be significantly reducing the expenses that the Kordin Grain Terminal is forking out. The work on the crane is expected to start in September and will be finalised by the end of October –

And on Thursday 24th August, the 85 metre general cargo ship SEABEE was using the unloader –

And the  first large vessel to use the latest KGT ship unloader was the Chinese owned 177.85m Open Hatch Box Type bulk carrier CORN.
