With wind blowing over 40 knots the 2002 built ship TAI AN KOU was photographed from the air by MALTA SHIP PHOTOS around 20 nautical miles offshore Malta on Wednesday 2nd February, 2022.

She was built in China by Guangzhou International Shipyard at Guangzhou in 2002 with CHN flag and owner – COSCO Heavy Transport. With a length of 156 metres and 36 metes beam she was loaded with the 2002 built Norwegian offshore supply ship OLYMPIC PEGASUS.

After OLYMPIC PEGASUS was laid up for around 4 years in Alesund, Norway it was decided that she will be transported as deck cargo to China at Ulsteinvik, Norway instead undertaking the voyage under her own power. Infact the transport left Norway on 15th January, 2022 stopping for few hours at Gdansk Anchorage, Poland on 19th January 2022 where she completed her voyage until reaching Malta but bunkering operations were cancelled both on Wednesday 2nd February at Bunkering Area 4 and on Thursday 3rd February at Bunkering Area 3 due to strong wind and high swell.

OLYMPIC PEGASUS was seen in Valletta back to May 2008.

Finally the transport left today Saturday 5th February from Bunkering Area 4 after completion of uplifting bunkers from the tanker SANTA MARIA at 1415 hrs bound to China via Suez Canal.
