During October 2016, MALTA SHIP PHOTOS & ACTION PHOTOS (MSPAP) was interviewed by the Founder and Editor in Chief of Ship2Shore – Dr. Angelo Scorza who is a professional maritime journalist while he was in Malta invited for the Malta Maritime Summit.

10 Years Ago – 07.05.2013 – Tragedy of the Torre Piloti in Genoa. Around 2300hrs, the 1976 built ro/ro ship JOLLY NERO collided against the structure of the port at hit the pilot tower. The collapse caused the death of nine people while four others were injured.
The victims where – The radio operator of the tug boats Sergio Basso, 50 years old, from Vernazza (SP), the radio operator of the pilots Maurizio Potenza, 50 years old, from Genoa, the pilot Michele Robazza, 44 years old, from Pistoia, Marshal Francesco Cetrola, 38 years old, from Santa Marina (SA), the first class chief Marco de Candussio, 39 years old from Fornaci di Barga (LU), first class subchief Davide Morella, 33 years old from Biella, second class subchief Giuseppe Tusa, 30 years old, from Milazzo (ME), third class subchief Daniele Fratantonio, 30 years old, from Rapallo (GE), Sergeant Giovanni Iacoviello, 35 years old, from Carrara.
