One of the Italian built vessels for the Arab countries is the 2002 built trailing suction hopper dredger BENGHAZI.
She was built by Costruzioni Navali SpA, Cremona, Italy as JARIF for the National Authority for Maritime Investment, Libya
Her dimensions are 82 metres length (loa), beam of 12 metres and maximum draft of 5.10 metre
On Tuesday 22nd January, 2013 she was seen entering Grand Harbour as BENGHAZI for changing of ownership of which it was her maiden call too.
Everything was done at Cassar Ship Repair Yard (CSRY) of which even her livery was changed from Blue to Orange Hull Colour and still retained her name though with the new company – COMAFISH , Libya.
