On Monday 8th August , the 135 metre livestock carrier GANADO EXPRESS and the 117 metres SHORTHORN EXPRESS entered Grand Harbour berthing alongside each other at MMH.

First to enter was the 2013 built GANADO EXPRESS at 0859 hrs with 2 tugs assisting. She was built at China by COSCO Guangdong Shipyard at Dongguan with 1 x Wartsila 7rtt-flex x35 diesel engine and homeported at Singapore (SGP Flag). She was inside Valletta Port last May so this was her second call in 2022.

After she was secured at her berth and fenders were done on her Port Side it was the turn of SHORTHORN EXPRESS which entered at 1113 hrs assisted by 2 tugs and homeported in Luxembourg (LUX Flag). She was built in The Netherlands by Van Diepen Shipyard at Waterhuizen back to 1998.

Both vessels left harbour on Sunday 14th August, 2022 in the morning.
