One of the Go Fuels tanker that was used for bunkering purposes was the 1980 built VANNA.
She was built in Germany by Busumer Schiffsweerft at Busum as the chemical/oil products tanker HELGA ESSBERGER built for John T. Essberger, the pioneer of purpose-built parcel tankers and today is one of Europe’s leading operators of such tankers, as well as operating Dry Cargo and Ship Management Divisions trading until 13th April, 1992 where she was renamed as TOM ELBA running for both JT Essberger and for Transportes Marítimos Insulares, SA (Transinsular), Portugal until June 2009 of which she was sold to Salvu Zammit & Sons Ltd.
Above images as TOM ELBA moored at Barriera Wharf back to May 2009. Later on she emerged as VANNA homeported at Valletta (MLT Flag) still wearing orange hull and with the white funnel bearing SZ (Salvu Zammit & Sons).
In 2010 she was spotted with a black hull and a different funnel colours (same as tanker MGARR was wearing back in 2009).
In July 2012 the tanker ELEOUSA TRIKOUKIOTISA was acquired and renamed as ELAURA wearing light blue hull and in 2014 VANNA emerged wearing light blue hull with Go Fuels written on her hull and New Go Fuels Funnel Colours
She was 80 metres long with 13 metres beam and a GRT of 1,958 while she had a deadweight of 2,544 tons.
Her shipping career came to an end when she was replaced by another tanker VANNA the former VEMAOIL XXIII and was seen at Flagstone Wharf at the end of September. On 10th October 2020, she was beached at Alang, India as ANNA with Palau flag and callsign T8A3498 for breaking up.
