Another Euro Carrier 2611 multicat , this time from a Scottish Company , the VIKING ENERGY entered Grand Harbour, Malta last Sunday 18th February passing breakwaters at 1251 hrs coming from Constanta, Romania via Bosphorus Straits, Turkey with her berth being Deep Water Quay (DWQ) 4 ahead of Virtu Gozo High Speed Craft (HSC).
The robust, efficient and flexible design of the EuroCarrier makes it one of the best vessels for anchor handling, dredging support and survey activities.
Built at Neptune Shipyards as yard number 501 she’s 26.48 meters long (loa) with 11 m beam.
She was built in 2019 and delivered on 14th June.
She’s equipped with two powerful HEILA deck cranes – HLRM 230-4SL in forward position and HLRM140-3S in aft position. She has a Bollard Pull of 40 tons and can operate in shallow waters with a draft of 2.61 meters.
She’s homeported at Kirkwall (GBR Flag) , Scottish owned and her operators are the Dutch – Landfall Marine Contrators B.V.
