On Monday 8th May , 2023 the Oceania Cruises Allura Class cruise liner VISTA entered Grand Harbour, Malta coming from Fincantieri Shipyard after she was delivered on Tuesday 2nd May.


Oceania Cruises, a subsidiary of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings prepared for this day since vessel was due for christening here at Valletta, Malta.

Oceania Cruises is a cruise line based in Miami, Florida, that operates 6 cruise ships on worldwide itineraries and since September 2014, the line has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, which also owns Norwegian Cruise Line and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

On January 8th, 2019, Oceania Cruises announced it ordered a new class of ships, the Allura class, first one as this state of the art cruise liner VISTA that promises an unparalleled luxury experience for high-end clients seeking the ultimate cruise adventure.

VISTA is the third newbuild for Oceania Cruises and she headed to her berth at Pinto 1 and 2 wharves at Valletta Cruise Port (VCP).

The liner was christened at Valletta, Malta by the God Mother Giada de Laurentis that proved to be a resounding success, leaving a lasting positive impact on over 700 guests on board the ship as well as local VIPs and dignitaries.

Unfortunately invite and information for this event never made it to our mailbox including letterbox so no images of the Christening Ceremony etc.
