The first British ordered supply vessel to be built to DNV’s new environmental class was the UT 745 design offshore supply vessel NORTH MARINER nicknamed as a class of her own. Designed and built at Simek AS, Flekkefjord in Norway for Gulf Offshore NS Ltd, Scotland.
Her ship class was Det Norske Veritas’ main class notation – + 1A1, SF, E0, HL2,8, DK+, LFL, and new voluntary CLEAN class notation. She was homeported at Sandnes, Norway as it can be clearly seen in the below image –
Since August 2021 she was renamed as MARINER with Dominica flag (DOM) and a month later with Israeli flag (ISR). Below image is whilst she’s anchored OPL Haifa, Israel.
On 1st February 2024 she was renamed as SAR MARINER homeported at Bergen , Norway (NIS).
On Friday 9th February she passed Grand Harbour breakwaters at 0841 hrs coming from a 3 hour stop at Limassol Anchorage, Cyprus.

She proceeded to Palumbo Malta Shipyards and berthed at Parlatorio Wharf South.

Few days later she was drydocked inside Dock 4 with the Italian chemical tanker VULCANELLO M as seen below –
And she left Valletta last Friday 23rd February at 0721 hrs bound to Aberdeen, Scotland.
