In the afternoon of Monday 28th June the Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) SUHAIL STAR entered Grand Harbour, Malta assisted by 4 Tug Malta tugs – GREZ (Bow Hawser); FELICA (Port Bow); MARI (Port Quarter) and KATRIN (Stern Hawser) bound to Tank Cleaning Farm (TCF) for tanks cleaning before shifting to Malta Drydocks (MDD).

She was built by Odense Staalsklbsvaerft A/S at Lindo in Denmark with yard number 148 launched on 7th June 1994 and completed on 9th September 1994 with 301,858 tons deadweight.

She was 333.40 metres as length overall (loa) with 56.50 metres as beam and draft of 22.50 metres. She was homeported at Monrovia, Liberia (LBR) like all Vela International Marine Ltd which was established in 1984.

Later on her hull livery like all Vela International Marine tankers was changed to blue. In 2011 she was converted to a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO)and renamed as OSX 4 for OSX leasing Group BV until 2013 where she was renamed as POPI and broken up at Gadani Beach, Pakistan on 25th August 2013.
