Thursday 11th April. 

The Marina Militare Italiana (Italian Navy) Thaon Di Revel Class Multipurpose offshore patrol vessel, also known as Pattugliatore Polivalente D’Altura (PPA) – ITS PAOLO THAON DI REVEL P 430 called at Malta , passing breakwaters at 1612 hrs making her both as maiden call and the first PPA to be seen in Malta.

Assisted by 2 tugs she was secured starboard side alongside Boiler Wharf. Though there were several rumours from certain enthusiasts that she had a helicopter embarked, I can confirm that she had NOTHING.

Tuesday 16th April. 

The Marina Militare Italiana (Italian Navy) Thaon Di Revel Class PPA ITS PAOLO THAON DI REVEL P 430 ordered pilot for 1430 hrs for departure with 2 tugs and passed breakwaters at 1508 hrs.

She was due to leave on Monday 15th but due to strong wind her departure day was cancelled and diplomatic clearance was extended.

Friday 19th to Monday 22nd April. 

The Marine Nationale (French Navy) Aquitaine Class FREMM frigate FS BRETAGNE D 655 call was cancelled.

Wednesday 23rd April. 

The German Navy Sachsen Class Frigate FGS HESSEN F 221 passed 36 nautical miles NE off Valletta proceeding to West Mediterranean at 1501 hrs coming from Red Sea Deployment.

Tuesday 30th April 

The operated Military Sealift Command of the US Navy Pathfinder Class Oceanographic Ship USNS MARIE THARP T-AGS 66 called at Malta , passing breakwaters at 0911 hrs coming from the Mediterranean Sea though her last port of call was Catania, Sicily, berthing starboard side alongside at DWQ 2 Wharf of which it was her maiden call.
