The third Holland America Liner to call at Gozo was the 285 metre long NOORDAM anchoring off Mgarr Harbour on Monday 9th August, 2010.

A Vista Class liner, she was built in 2006 by Fincantieri, Italy and the fourth Holland America Line (HAL) vessel to bear the name. The ship was christened on 22nd February, 2006, in New York City, USA. She’s a sister ship to OOSTERDAM, WESTERDAM , ZUIDERDAM and P&O Cruises ARCADIA (originally ordered by the HAL, but sold to P&O). The prefixes of the four ships’ names represent the four directions of the compass in Dutch.

She has 1,916 passenger capacity with 800 crew with 11 passenger decks. During this call over 600 passengers booked shore excursions and another 1,200 disembarked to discover Gozo on their own.
