On Friday 28th June, 2019 the Italian built liner VEENDAM called at Valletta berthing at Pinto 1 and 2 wharves during her maiden call at Valletta Cruise Port.

Shortly after she was secured to the wharf, the flat top barge B 45 towed by BETTY with a Toyota Forklifter belonging to local logistics contractor White Bros aboard secured to her starboard quarter to do hot works related to a visit calling off Gozo on Friday 29th June.

She was built in 1996 in Italy by Fincantieri Marghera at Venezia and part of the Holland America Line (HAL) fleet. She’s homeported at Rotterdam with Dutch (NLD) flag.

On Friday 29th June, 2019 she was spotted as planned anchored off Gozo with the passengers visiting Gozo by ship lifeboats having a splendid opportunity to visit the island.
