The latest cargo ship that was seen discharging at Mgarr Harbour, Gozo on Wednesday 24th June, 2020 was the 82 metre long coaster HUNKAR.
She was built in Germany in 1991 by Schiffswerft Bodenwerder at Bodenwerder as HANSE CONTROLLER trading until June 1991 where she was renamed as NESSAND until September 1994. Then to TRINKET with Eimskip colours with ATG flag trading until October 2005 and renamed to IRAFOSS still in Eimskip colours until March 2013. Sold to an Albanian Company she was renamed FROJDI III homeported at Durres (ALB flag). And in 2018 she was sold to a Turkish Company, renamed HUNKAR and homeported at Panama (PAN flag).
