As part of a cooperation agreement signed between Israel and Honduras in 2016, Israel Shipyards delivered an offshore patrol vessel to the Honduras Navy. The ship named GENERAL JOSE TRINIDAD CABANAS with pennant number as FNH 2021 is equipped with Rafael Spike missiles, a TechMer communications system, and a Terma radar system.
Early December 2019 she left from Israel and is expected to arrive in Honduras next month of which last Sunday 8th December, 2019 she was spotted underway off Tunisia at 2154 hrs local time (2054 UTC).
Additionally, the Honduras Navy will receive two more remote controlled weapon stations for existing vessels from Elbit Systems.
